Anglia Business Solutions has announced that its LINKFresh business management solution deployed at fresh produce specialist Produce World Group has been recognised with another award - this time from the British Computing Society (BCS).

The BCS awarded the solution a medallist position in the Business-to-Business Project Excellence category of its 2008 Awards.

In October of this year, the same LINKFresh solution for Produce World was also awarded the Enterprise Vertical Market Solution of the Year at the industry’s Channel Network Awards.

David Hurley, managing director of Anglia Business Solutions said: “Reaching the shortlist of nine companies in the BCS business-to-business category was a significant milestone for Anglia.

“The projects short-isted were mainly solutions with large teams and budgets. Achieving medallist status in such elevated company highlighted the quality of the Produce World solution and its impact on the business. We are very pleased that our investments in the LINKFresh suite have won this prestigious recognition at national level,” he said.

David Clarke, BCS chief executive, said: “The winners and medallists in this year’s awards are examples of best practice and professionalism and reflect the fact that technology is an integral and expected part of everyday life and is at the heart of literally every business. In the current economic situation it is rewarding to see that IT is continuing to lead through innovation and deliver real business benefits.”
