Israeli exporter Agrexco has begun the export of Early Sweet grapes at the start of a promising season.

The grapes have a high brix level of 15-17 and have proved a popular variety across Europe. This season they will reach the consumer almost a fortnight earlier than last year due to warm winter weather in Israel.

This year's yield is said to be “very successful both in quality and in quantity” with the season lasting until mid-September.

The Early Sweet kicks off the grape season with the Superior variety hitting international markets from mid-June to mid-August, Thompson Seedless running from mid-July to mid-September and the Red Globe variety from July until mid-September.
