Institute of Horticulture general secretary Angela Clarke retires at the end of this month after 16 years service. Paying tribute to Angela’s firm and efficient administration of the IoH’s affairs, president, David Miller, said: “Angela’s remarkable contribution to the profession of Horticulture has been admired and greatly appreciated by IoH members and by innumerable official bodies and individuals with whom she has liaised.”

Kiersty Darnell takes over as administration manager, at a time when the institute is looking to develop its function and scope. Kiersty holds a Diploma in Business Studies and has experience in both administrative and retail services. She is working in membership support for the Society of Chemical Industry (SCI) and her future role will be strengthened by the close association of the IoH and SCI, operating from the same address in Belgrave Square.
