Interpoma will welcome the apple world

The apple industry will gather for three days on November 9-11 in Bolzano, Italy for the 5th international apple production, storage and marketing tradeshow. This is the first such gathering since local South Tyrol apples were granted PGI status at the beginning of the year.

More than 200 exhibitors are expected from a dozen countries and at the last fair two years ago, some 8,000 delegates visited from 36 different countries.

A conference programme headed by Kurt Werth, an international specialist on apple varieties will consider four topics: The Apple in the World, New Economic Areas in the Far East, Non-destructive Quality Control and Assessment of Apples, Variety Protection, Trademark Protection and Management of Propagation.
