Interfresh ceo Evan Christophides said in the statement: 'We are fully aware of a change in the shareholding of the group, and that we are very positive and supportive in this regards. We can also confirm that a number of local, prominent investors are driving this shift in shareholding, and indications are that the outcome will mean a focused view on both Interfresh and agriculture going forward. Management at all levels remains committed to Interfresh.'

A more detailed announcement from the group is expected 'in due course'.
