Interbloem Group, Ireland's largest service provider to the retail florist and horticultural industry has announced its plans to expand into the Netherlands.
Supplying a comprehensive range of floral produce to more than 2,000 customers nationwide through its cash-and-carry outlet, the company also incorporates a fully integrated floral pot plant processing operation to major supermarket chains, handling up to 6million stems during the four peak days of the year.
Group managing director Aidan Lynch said: 'The establishment of an Interbloem office in the Netherlands marks a watershed for the company. On the back of our continued success in recent years we have the wherewithal to expand our business rapidly.
'By establishing a presence in the highly-competitive Dutch marketplace we have taken costs out of the chain and intend to pass the benefits derived from this on to the Irish floral and horticultural industry.'
