The Rural Enterprise Gateway (REG) is to take centre stage at a technical day looking at pollinating insects which could prove vital for agriculture and horticulture.

Held at the Royal Agricultural College on 25 March, the event will cover the economic benefits of careful insect management and land management and will give an overview of the REG project and Knowledge Network.

PhD students from the University of Reading will be among those speaking, with Tom Breeze giving a talk entitled ‘quantifying the economic benefits of pollinators and pollination services in the changing agricultural landscape of the UK’ and Penny Fletcher talking delegates through the benefits of the pollination of wild plants.

The REG Knowledge Network is provided by the University of Plymouth in collaboration with the Royal Agricultural College.
