The European Sandwich Show takes place at the Palais des Congres in Paris next month with over 150 exhibitors signed up.

The list of UK companies expanding into the European market includes a more diverse range. From the first show in 2000, fillings manufacturers have reported rising interest in their products and this year, the show has attracted exhibitors covering an even wider spectrum, from production equipment and disposables supplies to new technologies in machinery and labelling.

Show director David Wilkins of DEW Events said: 'In the UK, the sandwich industry is relatively mature and some companies specialising in sandwich-related products are really developing their potential in Europe. The show is the perfect springboard for this highly profitable and rapidly expanding food sector'.

Together with Food From Britain agencies in France, Holland, Germany and Italy, the show has been developed to give visitors the opportunity not only to see the latest ideas but also to give them the latest market information.

A comprehensive programme of seminars will be presented by key industry speakers covering topics relevant to the industry – snacking trends, the European market, the evolution of consumer demands, nutritional issues and packaging innovations.
