Improve, the Sector Skills Council for the food and drink manufacturing industry, has announced the launch of its new website - www.improveltd.org - and is urging manufacturers, of all sizes, to sign up on the web for regular information and updates on training which it promises will be relevant and stimulating.

Improve will use the web as an integral part of its communications and employer engagement process, to deliver skills benefits and information to its stakeholders.

"The new website is a dynamic business tool and will be fundamental to our key strategies. Visitors to the site will be able to navigate a variety of sections to find out more about the company and its objectives and we are planning to be very proactive in e-communication with the industry as the site develops further specific sections," said Jack Matthews, ceo of Improve.

The corporate site will be the portal to a range of other sections dedicated to serving particular aspects of the industry's needs. There will be specifically designed sections for human resource development and training professionals, careers advisors and job centres and food and drink manufacturing company human resource managers.

“This series of interlinked sites will be the framework for the quick communication needed in the fast-paced food and drink industry," he said.

The design of the site handled by Interactive Alliance Ltd with Nexus Consumer & Business Communications, means that Improve's stakeholders will be able to navigate relevant sections simply and easily. The site will provide them with access to strategic initiatives, skills solutions, key partners, service providers and contacts, all with the aim of delivering benefits to business.
