The food and drink sector skills council Improve is supporting a major campaign this month to highlight the link between skills and success.

The campaign has been developed by the network of skills councils Skills for Business following market research which showed employee skills had a positive impact on productivity levels.

The campaign is not sector specific but features advertising using skills ambassadors from some of the UK’s top plcs explaining why they are committed to developing workforce skills in order to succeed as a business.

The campaign runs for the whole of the month and features Ford chairman Roger Putnam, Coffee Republic co-founder Sahar Hashemi, Nationwide ceo Philip Williamson and Legal & General chief David Prosser. It includes national and regional print-press advertising and posters and rolls out in two waves.
