Fresh RM has announced the appointment of Chris McCuin as event director of the International Food & Drink Event (IFE).
McCuin brings substantial food and drink event experience, having spent six years in his last role as international project manager of Food & Hotel Asia, HOFEX, FHC China and Food & Hotel Thailand for Allworld exhibitions.
Fresh RM Group event director Toby Wand said: “The timing is perfect for Chris to come in, bringing new ideas to the strong existing team with plenty of time to implement fresh thinking for the 2011 event.
“Chris is very well connected internationally which is a great asset for IFE, given the scale of the recession-fuelled challenge IFE faces at home, but especially outside the UK. It was important for us to find somebody who can bring new ideas and complementary skills to the experienced team we have built for IFE and Chris fits the bill perfectly.”
McCuin said: “The IFE brand is steeped in history but most importantly there are some exciting plans and initiatives in place for IFE11. When IFE next comes around in March 2011 the market will very likely be rejuvenated. I am looking forward to organising a vibrant, dynamic event for UK and international food and drink companies to tap into that”
IFE11 takes place on 13-16 March, 2011 at the ExCeL in London.
