Franco-Moroccan company Idyl has earned the Saveur de l’Année (Flavour of the Year) label for its cocktail tomatoes and melons again in 2009.

Marketed under the ‘étoile du Sud’ (Star of the South) brand, the Charentais melons and tomatoes are grown in south Morocco.

Consumer panels, organised by Monadia, helped award the two products the prestigious label.

étoile du Sud cocktail tomatoes are available from October to April in 500g flow-pack punnets or sold loose.

The firm’s Charentais melons are sold from March in trays of 15, 12 or nine fruits.
