The Institution of Agricultural Engineers (IAgrE) is relocating from Cranfield University’s Silsoe site to the main campus at Cranfield, Bedfordshire this month.
The move is part of a phased relocation of departments from Silsoe to the main campus.
The IAgrE will be housed in The Bullock Building, which will be shared with staff from the Natural Resources Department and is also home to the Institute of Professional Soil Scientists, the British Society of Soil Science and the River Restoration Centre
IAgrE’s chief executive Chris Whetnall said: “We are excited and motivated about moving to Cranfield ‘s main campus. The move gives us the opportunity to be part of a wider academic community and will place us in the centre of an environment dedicated to research and knowledge.
“The IAgrE council has no doubt that Cranfield University is the right place for IAgrE to be and we are grateful to Cranfield University for continuing the long relationship between IAgrE and the University’s agricultural engineering and related activities. We can assure the university that IAgrE will be working hard to ensure, on its part, that the fruitful partnership continues.”
