Fresh Direct has announced the appointment of Ian Humphryes as supply chain and logistics director.
He has been with the company since 2004. In that time he has held various roles within the business, predominantly in operations and more recently in logistics before his involvement with new business integration that has led to the decision to promote him to supply chain and logistics director.
Managing director David Burns said: “Over the last 24 months Ian has done an excellent job of integrating a number of key new customers into our business while at the same time assisting all the depots in their individual operational planning.
“Both operations and logistics are key cost areas within our business and therefore it is an absolute priority for us that we have continuity and best practise across all our depots if we are to deliver the ultimate customer experience in our industry.
"Therefore Ian will continue to work with all the depot heads to define common procedures and longer-term strategies that will deliver the key objectives of best in class.”
