Freight company HPL UK has gained CCQI (cool chain quality indicator) accreditation for its short-term storage and distribution centre.
Lloyd Gibson, general manager HPL UK, was presented with the Coolchain Association certificate by Bernhard Stander, managing director of Germanischer Lloyd - Worldwide Certification, at Fruit Logistica in Berlin.
Gibson said: “Gaining accreditation demonstrates to all our customers that HPL UK has cool chain management systems in place that fulfil the requirements of the CCQI standards.”
He added that cool-chain management processes are constantly being reviewed and updated from field to shelf within the HPL network.
