Hortyfruta to debut at Taste of London

Hortyfruta, the trade association representing over 18,000 fruit and vegetable growers in Andalusia is to exhibit at this year’s Taste of London festival in June.

For the first time the association will be offering samples of the region’s products to the 50,000 visitors to the show.

Hortyfruta will be offering Taste of London visitors the chance to try products including cherry tomatoes, melon and watermelon. Staff will also be available to hand out a range of tapas recipe cards and to explain the tapas tradition.

Hortyfruta was formed four years ago to raise the profile of the Andalusian region’s fresh produce and to highlight its farming practices.

The stand is part of a wider campaign to encourage British consumers to look out for produce from the region and to highlight the growers commitment to the use of biological controls and other clean and environmentally friendly farming practices.
