HorTIPs hopes to communicate solutions to the major technological problems facing each sector of the horticulture industry to growers.
The organisation will use the full range of communications activities from small group demonstrations to major conferences and will demonstrate distance learning packages to business owners and their staff.
Project leader Chris Payne said: 'We had to identify priorities and apply an effective way of communicating solutions.'
