Letchworth Garden City in north Hertfordshire is to host its first-ever food festival on 22-23 May to celebrate the completion of extensive new landscaping in the town.

The festival will host some 50 food traders in Leys Avenue, one of the town’s main thoroughfares, while there will be a demonstration kitchen in a marquee on Leys Square and food-oriented events for children.

Celebrity chefs will be showing off their culinary skills in the demonstration kitchen. Good Food Channel presenter Paul Bloxham and TV chef Gary Rhodes will be among those attending the festival.

The free festival runs between 10am and 4pm on Saturday 22 May and Sunday 23 May.
