The British Herb Trades Association (BHTA) is to open the morning sessions of its annual conference to non-members for the first time this year.

The event, which will feature speakers from LEAF, Phytobotanica UK and Rutland Biodynamics as well as an update on Europam legislation, will take held in Salford Quays, Manchester, on January 27.

BHTA chairman Mathew Prestwich said: “The BHTA already has more than 70 companies involved but we are aware that there are a lot of other herb businesses that will be interested in the type of programme we have put together for this conference.”

The conference ticket price of £45 will include lunch and refreshments.
