Israeli seed breeder Hazera Genetics is preparing to launch its ACE pepper variety under the Hazera Vitalis brand at Fruit Logistica in Germany this February. The ACE variety of red pepper has been developed to provide consumers with extra benefits of vitamin A, C and E, and contains up to three times as many vitamins than a normal pepper.
Hazera Genetics prides itself on supplying state-of-the-art vegetable varieties that are designed to answer both the needs of the growers as well as consumers’ tastes.
“Since we feel that health, taste and convenience trends will continue to lead the way in the industry, we are focused on our range of Hazera Lifestyle products, which answer consumers’ needs,” said Dr Alon Haberfeld. “Such products include Limoncito, a yellow, oval tomato in the Boutique line, several new high lycopene content tomatoes and ACE peppers. In the UK, competition is fierce and consumer demand for high-quality vegetables is growing.”
Fruit Logistica, the international fruit and vegetable trade fair, will be held from February 7-9, at Messe Berlin GmbH, Berlin.
