International hybrid vegetable and field crop seed specialist Hazera Genetics has launched a new line of products aimed at satisfying consumer demand for taste, health and convenience.
Hazera Lifestyle, which is set to be unveiled at Fruit Logistica in Berlin next month, includes a range of products under taste, health and convenience categories.
The taste category features the Hazera Boutique line that was launched last spring, and which includes numerous premium gourmet tomato varieties.
In the health category the firm is launching the Hazera Vitalis line, which includes several varieties of lycopene tomatoes with more than twice the content of regular commercial varieties, according to the company, as well as a range of small vitamin peppers with extra nutritional benefits.
Under the convenience heading comes a ‘personal mini watermelon’, as well as a new range of colourful mini peppers and small cucumbers.
Hazera’s head of marketing and product development, Eran Shafrir, said: “We believe that a seed company is about more that just seeds, and feel that it is our responsibility to contribute to the healthy lifestyle of consumers and retailers everywhere.”
