ITV is looking for fresh produce companies that are either based in or trade with the Caribbean to participate in a series of cookery and culture slots on popular daytime programme This Morning.

Celebrity chef Phil Vickery and Neil Gooch, well-known in the produce industry as a director of the RGS Group, have already put together two series, Best of Britain and Best of Europe.

“We would like to hear from any companies or organisations that feel they have something to add to the programme,” said Gooch. “We will be island hopping and we will be visiting Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Cuba and at least one island in the West Indies.

“The slots are 7-10 minutes long and we aim to try out national dishes including local fresh produce, as well as giving a flavour of the countries.”

There is also scope for Vickery and Gooch to put together promotional CDs or DVDs for any interested companies, with a voiceover from the chef.
