SH Pratt’s new high-tech Halo storage facility in the uK has appointed a new chief technical role as it prepares for its official opening.
Jason Perrott said he was “excited” about his new position as Halo’s Head of Technical after years of experience working for Morrisons and Bakkavor and will be responsible for compliance and quality.
Halo said he “brings to the team a wealth of knowledge and experience of the industry”.
Commenting on his new job role, Jason Perrott said: “Working for Halo is exciting because of the team I’ll be working with, it’ll be a strong combination in setting up Halo. Being part of a start-up also excites me; there’s a lot of work to do and I am looking forward to getting started.”
Managing director of Halo, Gavin Knight, added: “We are really pleased to have Jason on board. Compliance and quality is essential for our business’ success and I’m pleased to have Jason leading this with his experience.”
Knight received the keys to the new Halo facility last week, which promises to eradicate inbound container costs and help deliver fresh produce faster in a more cost-effective way.
Located at the Port of London Gateway, the premises are fully temperature controlled with multi-temperature options from frozen to ambient, allowing for a variety of produce to be stored before distribution.
