Hadlow College in Kent is offering free taster courses to get people interested in horticulture and other subjects it offers for study.
The college, based at Hadlow near Tonbridge, has arranged the courses for potential students - full-time, part-time or occasional - to find out more about what it has to offer to give advice on career and recreational options.
Each taster course takes up a morning or afternoon and, because they are very popular, early application is advised. The first available course is on Thursday 21 February 2008 with five more dates arranged over the following six months.
Tasters are available in horticulture, agriculture, animal management, countryside management, fisheries, floristry and equine studies.
The college works closely with each industry to ensure its curriculum reflects current and future needs thereby ensuring graduating and further education students have the skills and knowledge required to forge worthwhile careers.
