Hadlow College is to launch its fourth Fresh Start Academy next year.

The course will be launched in February with an opening meeting, inviting anyone of any age to find out more about a career in horticulture.

A total of 42 people from different ages and backgrounds signed up for the third programme, which started in December 2009.

Pat Crawford, from the college, said: “Hadlow takes very seriously its position as a leader for the rural sector.”

This comes after Hadlow College was rated “outstanding” at its latest Ofsted inspection in the summer.

The Kent-based college was the second in the UK to set up a Fresh Start Academy in September 2006. All graduates from the first round have remained in the industry.
