A graduate from the G’s management programme has left produce to follow her dream to write and publish an Indian cookery book.
Anneeka Ludhra, who completed two years on the G’s management training in roles including celery production, technical and marketing, said the scheme was “instrumental” in her decision to pursue her ambition.
Her book, Dadima’s, is based on the wisdom of her grandmothers and their experience in cooking traditional Indian recipes, with vegetables as the star of many of its recipes. It is available on Amazon and in various independent book stores.
Ludhra said: “I left G's to develop a brand close to my heart – Dadima's. I always knew that I wanted to go solo one day, and my entrepreneurial father advised me to take a leap of faith while I was young, and had the energy and resilience to take some knocks.”
Describing herself as “grateful” for the experience at G’s, Ludhra said she “learnt the real meaning of hard work in the factories, being dynamic, and thinking on your feet”.
