European Food & Farming Partnerships and NFU West Midlands are holding a free irrigation open day for growers and farmers focusing on water sustainability in the production of vegetables and potaotes.
The event takes place on 10 July at the invitation of PDM Produce UK near Newport in Shropshire.
As well as a farm walk to view water use on salad and potato crops, guests will hear from the NFU’s water policy adviser and speakers from the Environment Agency, Shropshire Council, Harper Adams College, Highfield Lodge Agronomy and Natural England.
Bookings are being taken by EFFP and the NFU.
