Key retailers and growers supplying the retail sector will meet again on July 17 to discuss the continuation of their joint agenda.
The meeting will consider the lessons from the lean supply chain project, the Horticultural Electronic Business Exchange (HEBE) project, the trend towards ‘green’, using market information, price perception and assessing the potential for supply chain efficiencies and category management.
The HTA ‘Selling Plants Profitably’ conference, held in February, highlighted areas where growers and retailers can work together for the benefit of all parties and this joint meeting will take forward these lessons to identify a clear strategy for progressing the best practice so clearly demonstrated.
