Greenyard Frozen UK and multinational retail giant Tesco have entered into a strategic partnership agreement for the supply of Tesco’s full range of frozen fruits, vegetables and herbs.
Greenyard has supplied frozen produce to Tesco for over 35 years, and said that it was 'very excited' to have been awarded a supply agreement for the full assortment of frozen fruits, vegetables and herbs.
The deal will result in a material increase of volume, according to the UK-based retailer, designed to contribute positively to the revenue of all parties in the supply chain.
'This partnership agreement will allow Tesco to offer its shoppers the widest frozen fruit portfolio with around 25 premium quality frozen fruit stock keeping units,' the groups noted. 'Greenyard Frozen UK will assist Tesco in terms of quality, technical management, account management and logistics thanks to the collaboration of the different departments and a dedicated team.'
'Through their strategic partnership agreement, Greenyard Frozen UK and Tesco respond to the needs of modern consumers who want to enjoy healthy and tasty food, with a minimum of waste and preparation time. Frozen fruits, vegetables and herbs help people to enjoy the benefits of freshly harvested produce, every day of the year.'
