Greenery UK is confident its graduates will get the most out of the MDS programme

Greenery UK has confirmed it is the latest member to join Management Development Services (MDS).

The Dutch-owned marketing organisation represents over 2,000 growers. While, the Greenery UK, based in Northamptonshire deals with all the major UK supermarkets and usually takes on between one to three graduates each year. By joining MDS the Greenery is confident that new graduates will receive quality training.

Angela Fidler, human resources manager, said: “With our graduate numbers it is difficult for us to justify running our own graduate training scheme. The MDS package is attractive, especially from the trainees’ perspective. It provides the opportunity to experience different areas of the fresh produce industry.”

MDS was set up in 1986 by a group of farmers to address the shortage of skilled managers within their particular area of business. Member companies contribute towards the salary and training costs of trainees as well as providing work placements over a two-year period with four member companies.
