Greenery signs organic joint venture

The board and management of the Nautilus co-operative and VTN/ Greenery Naturelle have signed a joint venture agreement.

From April 2, all marketing activities of fresh organic, field grown vegetables produced by affiliated members and suppliers to Nautilus and Naturelle will now be be co-ordinated by Greenery Naturelle in Barendrecht.

The Nautilus cooperative is the largest sales organisation for organically grown vegetables in the Netherlands. More than 120 professional growers who use only organic cultivation methods supply them. The members have a joint production area of some 8,000 hectares. These members fully comply with all EurepGAP and National Organic Program (USA) standards.

Naturelle has experienced a period of particularly strong growth in marketing a wide assortment of organic produce, grown both at home and abroad. Naturelle supplies a large number of national and international retailers and wholesalers.

Last year Naturelle started using a modern packing/transhipment station equipped to BRC/HACCP standards and works with efficient logistic systems in Barendrecht.
