Total Produce Bristol set to benefit from new deal

The Greenery has introduced an enhanced support package to its exclusive wholesale relationship with Total Produce.

Executives from Dutch produce specialist and importer The Greenery have just completed a roadshow tour of the UK’s wholesale markets to introduce the new arrangements to wholesalers nationwide.

This latest development builds on the deal struck in October last year when Total Produce and The Greenery announced the sale to Total Produce of The Greenery’s UK wholesale market operations, and gave The Greenery access to all of Total Produce’s wholesale outlets in the UK.

Now the Total Produce wholesale network is benefiting from improved logistics, which includes daily delivery of fresh vegetable and salad products, allowing Total Produce to react swiftly to changing customer demands.

To back this enhanced service, The Greenery is also distributing eye-catching Greenery-branded point-of-sale displays to be installed on Total Produce’s wholesale market stands.

Kevin Doran, managing director of The Greenery in the UK, said: “Working closely with Total Produce is giving The Greenery national access to the wholesale markets for our salads and vegetables, and enabling us to increase our market share in this important sector.”

Denis Punter, executive chairman at Total Produce, said: “Produce direct from The Greenery will now be available on the wholesale markets only through Total Produce, giving our customers an exclusive guarantee of quality and freshness.”

Total Produce has wholesale operations in Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Gateshead, Glasgow, Leicester, Liverpool, Manchester, Norwich, Nottingham, Sheffield, Southampton, Stoke, Wigan and Wolverhampton.
