Greek exporters are reporting a promising kiwifruit season as the country looks to capitalise on improved coldstorage conditions.
The export department of the ITC Group, which has this season linked up with Greek kiwi specialist Dionant, has issued a statement to buyers to capitalise on the “natural medicine” of the fruit.
Found largely in 3kg, 3.5kg or 10kg pack sizes, the Greek kiwi season runs from September through to May.
The ITC reports that product can now be stored for 10 months due to improvements in coldstorage facilities in the country.
