One of the world’s largest developers and manufacturers of sorting machinery for fruit and vegetables, Greefa, has presented its vision on the future of sorting, with its machine FruitureSort.

The FruitureSort is a concept machine represents possible ways of sorting in the future. The infeed is suitable for all kinds of fruit and can pack in poly bag, tray and blister packaging.

To prevent fruit bruising Greefa has developed air transport and laser technology to detect external and internal characteristics. The FruitureSort machine has a touch-screen panel, which recognises voices and is therefore very user friendly.

For years, Greefa has been for its innovative designs and these innovations were highlighted during this the event. One such innovation being iFA - an internal flavour analyzer for pears, apples, citrus fruit and melons; not only can it detect internal characteristics, but also measure brix level and core rot.

Greefa’s external quality detector, iQS, is updated and improved and now gives a three dimensional picture of the fruit and gives a better view on the external quality.

The firmness detector, iFD, is a sensor that determines the firmness of fruits like mangoes, kiwis and avocadoes.
