Arundel Kerr Potatoes (AKP) has named Graham Cottee as its new trading director who rejoins the company after a short stint working in retail buying.
Cottee will return to the company from 1 December 2016after four and a half years away as potato and brassica buyer at Morrisons. He first joined AKP in 2003.
As trading director, Cottee will develop the AKP grower to retailer relationships, and head up the Pride of Anglia grower group.
He said: “This a good time for me to come back into the AKP setup, harvesting is over, stores are filled and we know the challenges that lie ahead. Quality is looking decent but we know both ourselves and other growers are down on yield, so it is going to be an interesting year ahead.
'I am looking to continue to develop the AKP grower to retailer relationships and I will also be taking on the Pride of Anglia grower group, which AKP established last year and is focused on the processing sector in and around East Anglia.”
Managing director Richard Arundel said: “It’s a great move for us and we are delighted Graham has returned to AKP.”
