The Good Natured brand of soft fruit and salads has been honoured in the 30th annual Quality Food Awards, held at the Hurlingham Club on Tuesday.

Stubbins Marketing won the fresh produce category for its Good Natured salad range of baby plum Tantalising Tomatoes, which are grown without the use of pesticides. Angus Soft Fruits was also highly commended in the same category for its Good Natured fruit range of Succulent Strawberries.

Good Natured marketing manager Jill Witheyman said: “To be shortlisted is always a great recognition, but to win our category is testament to the huge efforts of every member of the Good Natured team, in particular our growers.

“This year has been an exciting period in the growth of the Good Natured brand. We have developed our fresh produce offer beyond fruit to include salads and vegetables. We look forward to continuing this success in 2010 and beyond. With the added credibility of a Q Award, we are thrilled to be seen as best in class.”

The Good Natured range is packaged in compostable punnets and biodegradable, recyclable paper bags from fully sustainable sources to reflect the Good Natured brand philosophy.

Asda, The Co-operative, Morrisons and Sainsbury’s all stock the brand.
