Tony Gibbs, chairman of New Zealand produce giant Turners & Growers, is standing down after 16 years, MD Jeff Wesley has announced.

“It is with regret that I advise our chairman and long-standing director Tony Gibbs has decided not to offer himself for re-election at the AGM on 30 June,” said Wesley.

Gibbs will remain a supplier to T&G and the company will continue in its commitment to Gibbs’s initiatives, most notably the challenge to the single-desk kiwifruit marketing system.
