Organisers of next year’s Golden Acres Nurseries trade show have predicted that the 2008 event will be the largest yet.

Event manager Rhonwen Lowe reported that the firm has attracted more exhibitors than any previous year for this stage in the process, with bookings up by 20 percent.

GAN hopes to attract an audience of at least 1,600 growers, wholesale nurseries, garden centres and landscapers. As a result floor space has been increased to make room for more stands, while a new and larger entrance is intended to smooth the flow for visitors.

“There is also a healthy trend of first-time exhibitors booking larger stands,” maintained Lowe. “If a supplier has not exhibited before we strongly recommend them to book even a small stand and reap the benefits.”
