Gaining Consumer Confidence was published at the end of last week and aims to provide growers, retailers and consumers with facts on crop protection products as well as details of independent testing to assure the safety of consumers in new product development.

The foreword to the book is written by Sir Colin Berry, former chairman of the UK advisory committee on pesticides. He describes the text as a 'clear account of what happens in setting standards that apply to the safety of our food' and as a 'valuable source of data and explanation'.

The guide is available from Syngenta free of charge to growers , retailers and others in the food industry by calling 0800 652 4216 or sending an e-mail to syngenta.publications@yesresponse.co.uk
