The new washer can make water savings of up to 50 per cent

Dutch company Food Technology Noord-Oost Nederland BV (FTNON) will present its new flotation washing machine for salads and herbs, vegetables and fruit during the Freshconex show in Berlin next month.

With this system, the consumption of water has been reduced to a minimum and this has led to less water in the machine itself, combined with a cleaning effect.

With a combination of FTNON washing machines and its suction drying technology, it is possible to reclaim water which can result in water savings of up to 50 per cent. The installation is suitable for products such as fruit, shredded iceberg lettuce and various vegetables which make soup mixes and stir fry mixes. It can be built for all possible capacities. The suction dryer consists of a PVC mesh wire belt.

FTNON also supplies systems for the production of ambient and frozen food. The company works globally and is familiar with all international requirements and best practices as well as complying with the hygiene, health and safety standards.
