The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has suspended a board member following an allegation of gross misconduct.
Dr David Cameron, the FSA board member for Scotland, has also been suspended from his post as chair of the Scottish Food Advisory Committee. The allegation is the subject of an ongoing enquiry and the FSA said in a statement that until the enquiry is complete, it will not comment further on the issue.
