Fruity Faces to back Fruity Friday

Fruity Faces is to support the World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF) this year ahead of Fruity Friday on May 25.

A proportion of the money made from its blow up fruit cases - aimed at children taking fruit to school - sold on the WCRF website will go to the charity.

Inventor Paige Allen told FPJ: “I contacted the World Cancer Research Fund last year, but I was too late for the campaign. But we have got involved this year because we strongly support the cause.”

A balanced diet, including a 5 A DAY intake of fruit and vegetables, plus an active lifestyle helps prevent cancer, according to the WCRF.

The collaboration of Fruity Faces and WCRF’s Fruity Friday will help to increase public awareness of the links between diet, nutrition and cancer prevention, and to raise money for their cancer research projects.

Fruity Faces can be bought from www.fruityfriday.org or by calling freephone 0800 970 1461.
