Fruiterers' frolics light up Lord Mayor's Show

The Worshipful Company of Fruiterers entered two floats in this year's Lord Mayor's Show, which was held last Saturday, November 8. This was the second show in succession that the Company has participated with a horse-drawn dray, carrying a living cameo depicting the ëGarden of Eden', (as displayed in its coat of arms), and a trailer hauled by a 51-year-old vintage tractor. The trailer held a steel band, ëHugo and the Hugonauts'. Accompanying the floats were Liverymen, partners and children along with a look-alike Nell Gwynne, three ladies from the Fruiterers, dressed as Carman Mirandas, (pictured here and sponsored by Coregeo), and two bananamen, sponsored, like the band, by The Banana Group.
