Fruit Logistica is to export its successful exhibition formula to Asia, with the first Asia Fruit Logistica due to run from September 5-7, 2007.
The Berlin event has become a focal point for the fresh produce trade, this year attracting more than 35,000 visitors and 1,600 exhibitors, from 112 countries.
The first Asia Fruit Logistica will be take place in Bangkok, Thailand. It is being organised by Messe Berlin in co-operation with Asia Fruit Congress.
Chief operating officer of Messe Berlin, Dr Christian Göke, said: “I am certain that this new international venture will also enable us to continue strengthening and expanding this leading event in Berlin.
“The Fruit Logistica brand has developed sufficiently to become an export hit for Messe Berlin.”
