More than 320 companies from the fruit and vegetable sector have confirmed their participation at the first edition of Fruit Attraction, the Fruit & Vegetables Trade Show in Madrid.

The event, organised by IFEMA and FEPEX, the Spanish Federation of Fruit, Vegetable, Flower and Live Plant Producing Exporters, will take on November 4-6 at Feria de Madrid.

For the first time Fruit Attraction has managed to bring together companies from the main Spanish regions where the production and marketing of fruit and vegetables is an important economic activity: Andalusia, Aragón, the Canary Islands, Castile-La Mancha, Catalonia, Extremadura, Galicia, La Rioja, Murcia and Navarre. This participation will enable the fair to reflect the strength and importance of this industry.

The fair's director Carlos González said: "We are fulfilling all of the goals that we set out to achieve both at FEPEX and IFEMA in terms of participation and industry's representation. Furthermore, the number and stature of the exhibitors enables us to predict that we will be staging a new and unique event, a fair that will constitute a veritable landmark among the showcases that are presented for the industry.

“Although the number of exhibitors is extremely high, some places still remain to be filled, a matter we shall no doubt resolve over the next few weeks.”

Fruit Attraction will run alongside a series of specialised conferences will be staged over the fair's three-day duration addressing themes that are directly linked to production and marketing within the fruit and vegetable sector.
