August was another record month for freshinfo.com, with more than 3,000,000 hits - or 100,000 page impressions - registered for the first time by the fresh produce industry’s leading news site.

Despite the summer holiday period, freshinfo smashed its previous highest mark - of July - by more than 20,000 page impressions. More than 22,000 sessions were recorded.

The month’s top four leading news stories were all read by more than 500 individual visitors, and record numbers of people used every section of the site.

“We have increased the numbers of people using freshinfo steadily, but the last two months have seen large rises in international users, as well as an expansion of the user numbers in the UK,” said Lockwood Press md Justin Hope-Mason. “We believe the site offers an invaluable service to international fresh produce companies dealing with the UK industry. We now send out 123,000 solicited emails each month with the top-line news, on an immediate, daily or weekly basis.

“Free to subscribers and £65 a year to non Journal subscribers, freshinfo also represents excellent value for money for non-EU operators who may have to wait a few days to receive their hard copy of the weekly Journal,” he added.
