Freshfel Europe has released its Freshfel Consumption Monitor 2007, analysing trends in the production, trade and supply of fresh fruit and vegetables across the EU-27. The document covers the period 2000 to 2006 and identifies a number of EU-wide trends, including specific information on fresh fruit and

vegetable supply and consumption trends in all 27 EU member states and suggests a fall in consumption of vegetables of 4.5 per cent compared to the previous six-year period, and a fall in fruit consumption of just 0.7 per cent. Copies are available from the Freshfel Secretariat, free to members.
