FreshDrop and Capital Dairy (Boston) have entered a partnership to launch a home delivery produce scheme throughout the Lincolnshire region.
The Lincolnshire foodservice supplier will be untilising the dairy's delivery network, to provide guaranteed local produce delivered on a weekly basis.
Both the Dairy and FreshDrop will be commencing the venture for the first week of July.
The scheme will be launched to the dairy's existing customer base at first, with new customers targeted after the launch week.
FreshDrop managing director Jonny King told freshinfo: “We are guaranteeing a weekly percentage of items in the box to be from Lincolnshire.
“We are focusing on bringing local produce to doorsteps within the region, in a convenient way for our customers."
In January, FreshDrop moved from its site in Kirton Holme to nearby East Heckington, west of Boston to a purpose-built site already in place.
The site features a 1,200sqft cold store and has increased access for the firm’s fleet of 10 vehicles.
