Expert speakers will discuss the future of the fresh-cut convenience sector at the upcoming Freshconex Congress.

It has been revealed that the Freshconex Congress, the inaugural conference that marks the opening of the three-day Freshconex trade fair, will focus on two of the key sectors of fresh-cut convenience in food retail and food service.

The conference, organised by Eurofruit Magazine and the United Fresh Produce Association, will feature speakers and panelists from the global fresh-cut convenience sector.

Chris White, managing director of Eurofruit Magazine publisher Market Intelligence, said: "The fresh-cut convenience business is a fast-growing part of the fresh fruit and vegetable sector as a whole - there is a lot of interest in it, and a lot to discuss."

The congress takes place on February 6, 2008, the day before the opening of the Freshconex exhibition, which is running alongside Fruit Logistica 2008 at the Berlin Exhibition Grounds.
