Organisers are urging visitors to arrive early for this year’s Fruit Logistica to attend the Freshconex Business Forum which is set to tackle cutting-edge issues in the industry across Europe.

The Freshconex congress takes place the day before the exhibition opens and is expected to attract 200 international decision-makers from the fresh-cut convenience sector from 15 countries.

The programme will cover issues such as the prospects for selling fresh-cut products in key consumer markets like France, Spain, Portugal and Italy and also look at technology and the advantages of research and development for fresh-cut products.

The programme closes will close with a panel discussion on the role played by seed producers in the development of better fruit and vegetable varieties for the fresh-cut industry.

The fresh-cut convenience sector will be presenting a unique overview of the market at the Berlin Exhibition Grounds next week from 4 to 6 February.

In an exhibition area covering 4,000 square metres, 73 exhibitors from 13 countries will showcase a full spectrum of products and services.

The exhibition covers all aspects of the industry ranging from fresh-cut products and processing technologies, to special product packaging, and quality and safety related products.
